What are your rates as a music producer?

Could you provide an overview of your pricing structure and factors affecting final cost?

I work at a fixed rate of $45 per hour for all clients. This helps me ensure transparency of pricing. I dislike 'package' costs since they don't tend to take into account the client's individual needs, which could result in them paying more than is needed. Here's a typical example of a price for a 3-minute pop song:

Activities:
• Map out song in Logic Pro, transcribe melody, chords and lyrics (1 hour)
• Arrange and perform 8-10 instruments, including: piano, guitar (x2), bass, drums, strings (x4)
• Record a guide vocal (1 hour)
• Create mixes, export stems (1 hour)
Total: 7 hours x $44 per hour = £308

My rates vary depending on the scope of the project and the artist's needs. For production-only services, my rates range from $500 to $1000 USD per song. For comprehensive packages including assistance with lyrics, toplining, production, mix, and master, the cost can range from $1000 to $1500 USD per song. However, I'm always willing to discuss custom packages and pricing options to accommodate different budgets.

I have hourly rate 30-50£/hour, depends on additional studio equipment and type of work. So, for analog production it usually costs around 200£/track, and 100-150£ for mixing/mastering. But, every project is unique, so I can calculate price when I know all needed features of upcoming track and can estimate amount of time which I need for all work.

My prices vary depending on what each client requires however my prices start from $200. This includes a song mix with no master and prices are higher if the client requires the instrumental mixed along with the vocals and a master. This could range between $500-$1000.
