Could you share your coaching experience and highest rank achieved in Apex Legends to showcase your expertise?

My name is rVUDU (or VUDU)! I've played casual play on console, all the way through to competitive experiences, scrims and ALGS CC. I've been able to pick up a lot of experience through the 8000+ hours of play since day one of Apex.

I've been playing in multiple positions including support, IGL, and fragger and have experimented with all different play styles. If you need help, I've got you covered.
2
How would you describe your coaching style and methodology when helping players improve in Apex Legends?

My coaching style and methodology in Apex Legends are centered around a combination of pinpointing issues and fostering good habits for consistent improvement. This involves reviewing your in-game decisions, aim, positioning, and movement. By pinpointing these issues, we can create a personalized plan of action to address them.

Creating and reinforcing positive gaming habits is essential for long-term success in Apex Legends. These habits include effective communication with your team, map awareness, and resource management. I usually will create a point of reference called a "Habit Journal" that I personalize for every player to help them excel quickly and efficiently.

How do you tailor your coaching sessions to meet individual players' specific needs and gameplay styles?

I tailor my coaching sessions to meet individual players' specific needs and gameplay styles through a personalized and data-driven approach. First I start by discussing the player's goals and aspirations in Apex Legend and then continue by reviewing gameplay footage, analyzing statistics, understanding the strengths and weaknesses of the player, and focusing in areas they want to improve in.

I also do a deep dive into their preferred playstyle, patterns of play, and movement paired with game sense.

Are there specific legends you specialize in coaching for, and how does this specialization benefit your coaching?
rVUDU, Apex legends coach

I specialize in any support and fragger playstyle. These legends include but aren't limited to Wraith, Octane, Bangalore, Maggie, Valkyrie, Revenant, Caustic, Newcastle, Loba and Rampart. I've played Wraith, Maggie, Valkyrie, Caustic and Rampart in competitive and scrims so those legends are ones that I can do extreme and specialized training in. I specialize in micro and macro movement, playstyle, and decision making for fragger playstyles and support playstyles which are two of the main styles played in this game.
5
How beneficial do you find coaching tutorials, and are there any specific ones you'd recommend?
rVUDU, Apex legends coach

If you are new to this game, or wanting to improve movement or character specific skills then I recommend watching the tutorials. I recommend Mokeysniper for movement, Dazs for game sense and aim improvement, and ottr for legend specific tutorials. I will also be releasing tutorials for secrets that I've found playing through apex legends on my youtube channel in the near future as well. However I do recommend 1 on 1 coaching for quick and effective improvement because someone on the outside can make custom and tailored experiences for you to quickly improve.
6
What techniques or tools do you use to review and provide feedback on a player's in-game performance?
rVUDU, Apex legends coach
rVUDUApex legends coach 4 months ago Contact
There is a myriad of ways I analyze gameplay, specifically depending on the experience the player already has in Apex Legends, the rank they have achieved, and their personal goals. I focus on the skill in the three fundamentals that go into this game which are Aim, Movement, and Game Sense. I then focus on improving what they need the most improvement in, and how to strengthen and use the skills between the fundamentals. Aim in this game is extremely important, especially tracking targets and consistently doing damage. If a player lacks in their aiming ability, then that's obviously an area for improvement. However, pinpointing the fastest way to improve, or a bad habit to break will give faster improvement than generic tips and tricks for aiming.

7
What strategies do you use to improve team cohesion and communication during gameplay?
rVUDU, Apex legends coach
rVUDUApex legends coach 4 months ago Contact
Absolutely. Playing on a competitive team in every spot gives me a unique advantage to have an inside out view of each dynamic in the team, as well as understanding how to communicate to give your other teammates the information they need. Playing together and getting a good team synergy is so important to being a successful team. Understanding the action your teammates will do, and predicting their plays will help a players team leaps and bounds. Communication is so important to tell your teammates the information that you have, and the action you're taking so your teammates can either support you, or play off of your decisions. This means that communicating in a quick and precise manner is very important.
8
What software or in-game tools do you utilize to enhance the coaching experience and analyze gameplay? Do you use discord?
rVUDU, Apex legends coach
rVUDUApex legends coach 4 months ago Contact
I use a combination of tools and software depending on the player I'm coaching. Discord is the most important tool for communication because it allows vocal communication, as well as the ability to see the students screen and vice versa. I also use OBS and NohBoard to see and show inputs as well as a POV, or to mark up a video with a digital pen. I also will use the modded Apex Legends (R5) in order to give specific movement routes, or POI specific coaching, such as loot paths in competitive play.

What essential piece of advice would you offer to new Apex Legends players just starting on their journey?
rVUDU, Apex legends coach
rVUDUApex legends coach 4 months ago Contact
My top advice for new players is to get in and play. I suggest playing the mixtape modes to understand weapon gunplay and legend abilities. I also suggest that when playing Battle Royale, try landing in as many different POIs as possible so you can learn rotations and map layout. Learn from teammates and follow them around to learn other players playstyle that you may encounter in future games.
10
Are you proficient in coaching for all of Apex Legends' game modes, including Ranked, Arenas, etc.?
rVUDU, Apex legends coach
rVUDUApex legends coach 4 months ago Contact
I coach all game modes, but focus on Battle Royale specifically. Ranked and Battle Royale are what I focus on the most since that is the hardest game mode, although I do review mixtape games to help with personal positioning in 1 on 1 combat and gun skill.

Do you offer coaching services across all platforms, such as PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch?
rVUDU, Apex legends coach

I coach for all consoles, although I specialize in Mouse and Keyboard on PC for movement. I've played on all inputs and can coach all inputs and console types. Depending on the input and console, I tailor my coaching to be specific to whatever the player is using.
